Jeans repair: worn inner thigh, holes, zipper and hem

Favorite jeans often wear in one area while the rest of the fabric is still usable. Proper reinforcement can add seasons of wear.

Repairing and reinforcing worn jeans

Inner-thigh wear is common

Jeans often wear first where fabric rubs. Early repair is best: a thin area can be reinforced before it becomes a large tear.

Simply closing the hole is not enough because the surrounding fabric is already weak.

Holes and pockets

Knee holes can be repaired discreetly or with a more visible patch, depending on the style of the jeans. Pocket bags often tear from keys or phones and can be repaired or replaced.

We choose thread and reinforcement according to the denim color and weight.

Fast preliminary quote

What to send so we can estimate the price and timing faster

A short message and a few details are enough:

  1. 1 Photos or a short video: the whole item and a close-up of the problem area.
  2. 2 Item type, material (if known) and quantity.
  3. 3 What happened or what you want changed; the desired result and relevant measurements.
  4. 4 Your location; fitting or parcel delivery; preferred deadline and urgency.

The preliminary estimate is free. We confirm the final price after inspecting the item.

Zipper, button and waistband

A zipper problem can be a worn slider or a damaged zipper. A waistband can sometimes be adjusted, but the back pockets and proportions must still look natural.

That is why jeans alteration is more than just removing fabric.

When jeans are not worth repairing

If the fabric is thin in many places, a new repair may tear beside the old one. We will point this out before starting.
