Wedding dress alterations in Tallinn

A wedding dress usually needs more than one small stitch. Plan enough time, fittings and realistic changes.

Wedding and formal dress alteration in the workshop

Start with enough time

A wedding dress must look right in photos, move comfortably and hold securely through the whole day. That is why it should not be left to the final week.

Six to eight weeks gives room for surprises in lace, lining, corset structure and multiple fittings.

Common wedding dress alterations

The most common work includes hem length, waist shaping, bust support, straps and bustle handling. Lace dresses often require hand work because the pattern must be preserved.

Corset and multi-layer dresses take more time because each layer affects the others.

Accepting enquiries for November

Planning a repair or tailoring project for November?

Send photos and a description of the work. We are accepting repair and tailoring enquiries for 2 November onwards. Please allow 3–5 days for a reply.

  1. 1 Photos or a short video: the whole item and a close-up of the problem area.
  2. 2 Item type, material (if known) and quantity.
  3. 3 What happened or what you want changed; the desired result and relevant measurements.
  4. 4 Your location; fitting or parcel delivery; preferred deadline and urgency.

The preliminary estimate is free. We confirm the final price after inspecting the item. We will agree the price and timing with you separately. Please arrange visits or sending garments with us in advance.

Bring the right shoes and underwear

Shoes determine length. Underwear or corset shape determines the bodice. Without them, measurements are guesses and a later fitting may show that work must be redone.

Bring everything that changes the silhouette.

Price depends on construction

A simple hem is one job; lace, multiple layers and corset structure are another. Photos help with an estimate, but the final quote comes after seeing the dress.
