How to send clothes by post for repair

Postal repair works well across Estonia when photos, packing and contact details are handled in the right order.

Packing garments for postal repair

Send photos before the parcel

The biggest mistake is sending a garment before we know what the problem is. Send a full photo and a close-up first.

For zippers, photograph the length and both ends. For lining, photograph the inside. For small damage, mark the place clearly.

Describe the result you want

Tell us whether you want a zipper replaced, a worn area reinforced, a hole made as discreet as possible or an original hem preserved.

A clear description helps us estimate price and decide whether the work is suitable by post.

Fast preliminary quote

What to send so we can estimate the price and timing faster

A short message and a few details are enough:

  1. 1 Photos or a short video: the whole item and a close-up of the problem area.
  2. 2 Item type, material (if known) and quantity.
  3. 3 What happened or what you want changed; the desired result and relevant measurements.
  4. 4 Your location; fitting or parcel delivery; preferred deadline and urgency.

The preliminary estimate is free. We confirm the final price after inspecting the item.

Pack cleanly and add contact details

The garment must be dry and clean. Add a paper note with your name, phone, e-mail, return preference and work description.

This note is important if the parcel label is damaged or the parcel-machine system loses information.

Timing and payment

After the garment arrives, we inspect it and confirm the final price before starting. Return shipping is added to the quote so the full cost is clear.

Frequently asked questions

Can every garment be repaired by post?

No. Jobs that need fitting are usually not suitable by post.

What should I include in the parcel?

Add your name, phone, e-mail, work description and any note marking the damaged area.

Need personal advice?

Every garment has its own story. Send us photos and we will explain what is realistic.
